TeenClean's Women's Day Conference - Raising $1K for Women's Shelters

Riya: In order to celebrate international womans day this year, we are so grateful to have the opportunity to speak about our youth-led non-profit in front of so many wonderful women here today. We began Teen Clean due to the lack of knowledge regarding hygiene. We understand that many people are not directly taught on practices such as using deodorant, shaving, and even day-to-day tasks such as brushing teeth.

Hitha:  Our goal is to simplify the complexities of hygiene. Our resources include an educational website, Instagram, and TikTok. We have expanded our initiatives to help out around the community, giving to those who are unable to provide for themselves through hygiene kits and menstrual products. In the future, we plan to expand our organization to assist those in other countries for causes such as humanitarian aid. 

Siri: As Hitha mentioned, we are currently hosting a Menstrual product drive. For this drive, we are working with Bodyhood, Girls in Stem, Girls Up NTX, and She’s the First. We have a go fund me up and running, which is a part of our online fundraising efforts. So far, we have raised $650 and we are still going! All the money we earn will be 100% used for purchasing products such as tampons and pads to donate. Our contributions will go to Many Helping Hands, Refresh Frisco, The Hygiene Bank, and other shelters in the Dallas area.
