Community Impact Special: Menstrual Product Drive

Menstrual hygiene is an issue affecting millions of women and girls worldwide. The rapid spread of stigma around genital health as well as a lack of access to menstrual products are all causes for a problem in which many suffer in silence. By improving access and knowledge, sectors in education, health and economics across low-income communities vastly improve, and consequently, TeenClean has made strong steps towards realizing this goal.

Just a month ago, working alongside fellow nonprofit organization Bodyhood, TeenClean leaders successfully contributed ~2400 menstrual products as well as a $1000 donation to Frisco Family Services. These donations will greatly assist in helping less fortunate families, especially younger women, who may struggle finding these affordable essentials.

Furthermore, we held a lemonade stand raising $300 for hygiene issues and spoke at a Frisco Women's Day Conference as well as a Human Trafficking conference organized by Melody4Minds.

We are extremely proud of the impact we were able to make throughout these fundraisers, and are excited to continue similar initiatives to help strengthen access feminine products and combat stigma in our community and beyond!
